Successfull maiden flight

Nothing sweeter than a successfull maiden flight on a scratch built.... Thank you Foam and Tape.
It was a big hit at our field too with 4 or 5 fellow flyers wanting one.
The 1st flight my son dropped a Jack In The Box antenna ball. And the maiden was cut short by a motor mount comming un-glued . But after a little more glue James flew it around 12 flights today.
The 180 watts was plenty and it flys wonderfully ... Lots of pics and vids comming but here's the maiden take off and ball drop

Very Nice Atari!

I finished the bomb bay designed for my twin and though I would share. Hope to finish the rest of her next week.

20 inch WS micro version

After reading the first five pages of this thread, I have decided that I need to build a micro version. But...I have never scratch built before so I will need some help. First of all, Iam planning to build a 20 inch version. This is what I am most likely going to use:

-3mm cellfoam88 from Hobby Lobby
-CSRC-35 ultra nano servos
-OrangeRx R610 reciever

Still have not decided on the prop, motor and esc...

Would this work with a proper prop, motor and esc or would it be a failure? Or should I get some spektrum gear that is lighter and more reliable? If it is too heavy, I would be willing to make it a bit bigger...like 24 inch WS. Please suggest what gear you think I should use. All help is appreciated. Thanks

-joker

P.S. I am going to try and make this at least five channels - six channels if I can spare the weight.

EDIT: Whoops I almost forgot about the battery (how could I?) but I dont know what battery to use either.

I don't know about a 20" w.s. version but the 100% flys with very light wing loading. My son is painting ours. It's gonna be white with an orange Coast Guard stripe and windows

That looks great alpea 41...about how much is the total cost of the 100% version? (I am only 11, so money is real tight for me) Thanks
