Dave Fritzke Ace Pacer wing ?

This (plans) has a built up wing (kit had foam wing). Any suggestions on how to
shim up the tapered wing to come out like the foam wing ?

One technique in building this type of wing is to build it upside down. This will give the appearance (and effect) of having a slight dihedral. Since the ribs do not have tabs, you will need to use blocks along the TE to keep from building in washout or washin.

Draw a line running from the center of the front of the rib to the center of end of the rib -- a chord line. Ideally, the chord line would run from the center of the LE to the tip of the TE. If you're using the Gene Rock's CAD drawing from Dave Fritzke's site, the LE and TE are shown for ribs 1 and 9. You can fill in the locations for 2 thru 8.

Draw a second line parallel to the first and tangent to the top of the rib (if you are going to build upside down). The vertical distance from the top line to the top of the TE spar will give the shim height for each rib.

I've attached a pic, but I don't know how viewable it will be.
