Sooo many F-16s out there, sooo many of them in Thunderbirds schemes.. This one never stood out in any way, IMO.

Plus, you have to buy it with the motor...which promptly burns up, no?

No, you don't have to buy it with the motor:

I was wondering about that, as it reminded me of the Twister. Nothing wrong with that, the Twister is a great-flying EDF.

(for example: Having to buy an included motor&fan that I don't want is the only thing that has held me back from buying the Sapac F-16.)
I think you're thinking of the Phase 3 F-16, Eflites comes without one

Also, if you don't like the fan unit, then strip it out of the airframe, and sell it for new servos and use your own fan unit

No, I meant the E-flite F-16. When it originally came out in October 2008 (link), it was NOT available airframe-only, you had to get it with the motor and fan. It wasn't until many months later (July 2009 to be specific, see this link) that they finally came out with the airframe-only version. By then the interest in the plane had died down...so I think they kind of had unfortunate timing, marketingwise. Personally I wasn't interested in that little F-16 anyway because of the small size...same reason I haven't gotten a Phase 3. This new "Habu" looks to be more my preferred size.

I don't do any online bartering/selling or any hassle like that. If a plane is only available with junk I don't want included, then I don't want the plane.

Save it for a future project? Sell to a fellow modeler in need of it?

That would work for me. I love to my own graphics.

Yowch. That's a pricey airframe.

I'll stick with the slightly less pretty but exceptional performing Phase-3 for about half the $.

I'm a HUGE Eflite fanatic... but their jets have missed the mark by a wide margin so far, IMO.

This Parkzone jet doesn't seem to follow the same mould.
