Thanks for the tip on the 1000mAh lipo. I will go with that. It would be awesome if i could hit 8/9 mins flight time.

Started a swarm thread if anyone wants to cut in (or help out)

The servo's are digital and got my internal 3A bec very hot in my HK450.
I run it with this cheap bec now and works very well:

Joined your swarm, Sp00fman. Are you going 2S then? That motor might not cut it...

check the size of the 1000milliamp lipo you swarmed , it needs to be this size to fit 54x30x23.5mm
or close to it . a couple of mm off is ok but not much more
this is the size i have and the canopy dosent really fit too well https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=9163

Wow. Thanks for this video brian. I never knew that the cold can affect all those different parts of the heli. It doesn't get that cold down here. But again wow -15C !! And the 250gt still flies. That is amazing. Thanks again

After testing my servo collection i decided to go with the Esky digitals.

$3 a piece, and low weight.

I hope hobbyking gets the lipo's back in stock soon.

Nice price (I'm considering getting some just because) but they might be a little marginal for the 250. The headspeed is much higher, I think that anything under 1.5kg/cm could be suspect...

I received this from hobby king today:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your email. For the requested item ( HK250-GT), we are sorry to inform you that we do not have the ETA in the next three months. Please check our website for updates later.

I've got $103 on credit with Hobby King from a previous order (when 4G3s were on sale) and I now give up on the HK250 too.

I was thinking of getting the 250 Copterx and an RX2801Pro from Ehirobo. If I buy this, what electronics/motor from Hobby King should I get given my budget?

My experience is 4#3b/4g6.

I wouldn't trust esky servo on this. I started with all esky line birds, from lama(2), fp(2), cp(2) (all sold) and now still have 2 king I and 2 king II, gone through at least 50 of those servos, and still have 10 or so around. They are no good. I am now using HXT900 on the Kings.

OH... whats wrong with them? already ordered the esky's.
I know the gears are a bit weak. The servo case and the gears are the same as the turningy 1800a and i killed a few of those.
The Esky seems to have about the same torque and speed as the hxt900, but better at holding position and much more precise due to digital circuity. Perhaps i could Frankenstein-convert a HXT900 to digital

The HXT900's are 1.6kg/cm, the Esky's are only 1. I've had really good luck with the HXT900's aside from a couple of failures, one of which I'm pretty sure I know the issue with.
