Santa Ana's back

Looks like Thursday 10/10 and Friday 10/11 are flyable. Any best choice for meet-up?

Doug even came by the Wilson Fall Fun Fly for some light flying at Palmers on Thurs. I think he and his wife split on Friday, ‘cuz of early rain no doubt. The rain stopped mid-afternoon and we had great flying ‘til dark. Sat went from moderate winds very early (< 9am) to strong and rowdy, then moderated at maybe 4 pm to soft and consistent. So, it was a pretty good three days of flying for me.

See you in November.

Thanks Inland Empire guys for a great day at Brown's Bluff. Eucebio and I had a great time flying and visiting with you and admiring Javiers awesome sloping designs.

Hard to believe it was 10 years ago this month that we started flying this slope.

Off subject, but potentially important:

Apparently, the FAA plans to restrict model aircraft to 400' in controlled airspace. No exceptions. For example, if I understand this correctly, it would effectly close down thermal soaring competition site here in Denver at "the sod farm" which appears to be under DIA's class B airspace 12,000' to the surface.

Anyway... I suggest you check this out and let your representatives know your feelings.

Almost 11 for me Dave, 10 years for the thread.
I started flying here 12/08, thats when the floors guys were working my house and I took a drive around my new neighborhood, about 3.5 hours and then I drove down a road that ended at rhe Bluff. Its been a great spot with lots of action from Foolfest, to PSS fest to F3F racing. We are lucky to use it.
Btw... its blowing now 1:30pm

Fly low; Fly fast
I'm keeping calendar open and planes charged for this Sunday and perhaps later next week for Brown or Norco.
