Is there any way to edit the title of this thread? Hangar is spelled with two 'a's', not an e. This thread won't come up under a search for 'Hangar 9 DeNight'.

Should also be DeNight Special.

I got to fly the DeNight yesterday and it is a very sweet flying airplane, even more so than I expected. It handles great, very solid and predictable, and extremely forgiving at low speed. I'm really impressed with this one. Saito .82 for power.

Love the look of the hangar 9 Denight - about to order one.
How did the saito 82 4s fit, much modification to the cowling.

Be grateful to see a picture of the front end.

I have a small opening in the corner where the cheek meets the lower cowl, as clearance for the 90-degree muffler adapter. Can't be seen unless the model is inverted. Now that it's cut, it almost looks like it would clear without the cutout. The cutout in the red portion of the cowl is actually not necessary, this was done for a different style adapter, since changed.

Thanks for your front end photo, helps alot. Have you been hapy with its flying characteristics. I'm not looking for anyting too fast but ideally a great plane to fly. I have not been flying too long and this will be my first tail dragger and third plane.
The Denight is a real eye catcher. Looking forward to obtaining one.

I've been very happy with its flight characteristics. Based on the nature of racing airplanes you might expect it to have some less than trainer-like qualities, but it's remarkably forgiving. At idle with full up elevator it mushes around gently with no indication of stalling, and it slows down great for landing.
