Parkzone EDF jet HABU

Does anybody know more about the new Parkzone Habu?

http://www.horizonhobby.de/Air%20Mee...1/Habu-3-g.jpg

So far as I know it will be available as a PNP and BNF.

Interesting...
Looks like a good solid airframe at the least. Something about it just doesn't scream "sexy jet" like alot of others out there but I'm sure it will fly great.

C/N---You can pull a mold off of it and offer it as an upgrade! We are thinking about doing that to an old beatup PZ t-28 of mine just to see if we can make a small composite T-28.

According to a r/c dealer from germany here are some (translated) data regarding the Habu:

wingspan: 910mm (36")
length: 1100mm (43")
takeoff weight: 1300 g with u/c
Impeller: 69 mm Eflite Delta V

BNF version includes among other things an E-Flite Delta V 69 mm impeller, BL-15 brushless inrunner, 60A Pro BEC Brushless ESC, 3S 3200mAh LiPo, 5 servos and AR500 receiver.

I wonder if it accepts retracts? Hopefully so, don't like the drag of fixed gear.

I'm thinking fan access is via the vertical stab piece...so it's pretty far back and hopefully that means there's room up front for more than one size of battery. If the wires are also routed internally and the esc is inside vs on the bottom, they have a great airplane. The should paint the foam completely though, foam beads are not attractive Looks overall quite nice, the vertical stab shape is a bit off, but at least it looks different than the Piranha/Het lookalike, those jets miss the mark in looks at least in my eye.

Belongs in the foamy forum, no?

Agree, they ought to make "Z-foam" smoother like Lander does with SEPO.

LiPo is 4S... not 3.
It is a 6 pole inrunner.
BNF and PNP...
Landing gear is optional (and included).
Optimised for aerobatics....
(it is the 'open stock' E-Flite Delta-V 15 Fan, Motor (Kv optimised for airframe), and 60A ESC)

Fan access is via wing.

Short story is.... We don't have the release date at this at this moment.
Germany was having a very large show, and wanted to show it, so we made and exception from our 'normal rules' and showed it.
As I recall, official info should be available in the next few weeks... It is not real far out.... Close to production....

Sorry, official info will come... anyone going to Super Illini Jets??
