This thing weights 95 grams "fully loaded" thats including the 20 gram camera. Thats like a fart compared to the brushless turbojets (or waddayacallem) you "liked" on your youtube channel that does flybys with innocent bystanders.

So you telling me my brushed little sissy quad with 7mm brushed cheap motors, made in china by child labourers could go hard/hit like a bullet? Please teach me how! And did you ever hear of the formula E=MC*2 (the C is also squared in this formula) where mass plays a very important role. And where speed and relevance plays a part. Also have you heard of the term "terminal velocity"(its not only a movie). My quad just falls out of the sky when i cut the throttle or lose signal. Your aeroplanes will glide away when you lose contact/signal. And finally lets say i stand on the eiffel tower. You are below, and i drop a brick on your head. Would that mean that we could switch places and you could kill me with a pebble? |

And i am really tired of people saying that its a consequence of idiotic flying. U live in the U.S. and know the U.S. ways better than me. But you have to admit that every item in U.S. media is blown up, everything is bigger, better, worser and so on... After 911 your media is based on panic and control. Sure there have been big and small accidents with multirotors and such. But i'll bet that those also existed 10-20 years ago. The faa registering is mostly a pre emptive measure because of the widely availability and popularity of multirotors. The media scares you with eye gouging quads and terrorist payload quads. In dutch there is a saying, i dont know if it also exists in English: Tall trees catch the most wind. Ps i did not say you flew jets, you "liked" a video. |

I'm hoping someone with experience with lowest cost versions can answer a question for me. A search on Ebay for "808 camera" lowest cost comes up with literally dozens of what appear to be the same model in the $3-$4 range.
I have 3 that seem to be identical. Any idea what model this is likely to be? |

I bought the 808 #18 on banggood and it was somewhat of a disaster from the start. The product description was actually for the #16 and the #18 is far less configurable than the #16. You can basically only remove the timestamp and it is not very clear how that is done.
Anyway, the video quality was good but there was a lot of stuttering and freezing. I tried 3 different cards of varying capacities and classes but the same results. Finally, the thing stopped working entirely today. It powers on but will not start recording and will not power off unless i press reset. I took it apart and nothing looks abnormal from a hardware perspective. Formatted my sd cards but no luck. If anyone knows how I can get this thing working again or point me in the direction of a reliable seller of a better model, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! |

I have a few of the $3-$4 Ebay that appear to be #18 and two of them have been working flawlessly for couple years now. Probably 50-100 charges each. A couple more fine so far. A friend of mine has gone through three #16 in the same time frame (one crash, 2 fly-away). I won't even mention how many have lost GoPro. Letting these 808 type sit unused seems to be a major cause of failure.
In terms of risk, hassle, and best bang for buck I am sold on the cheapies. Just buy a half dozen and youre all set on backups. |

Page for 808 #29
I created a page for another 808 variant, enumerated the 808 #29. A seller listed an 808 #16, but delivered an 808 #29 (fraud).http://www.chucklohr.com/808/C29/

Hi guys,
Didn't know where to post this. For the people with an SQ8 mini cube camera, I wrote a small utility to set the camera clock (like my utility for the 808 spycam several years ago). You can download it here: http://www.filedropper.com/setsq8clock Hope you find it useful! Best regards, Robert (posted this also at) https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...ostcount=71696 |

I have an old #16 camera. I tried to revive it, it works with USB plugged in but wont turn on without so I assume the battery is dead. I see many ads on ebay for a battery marked "502030" but 250mah. On the 808 page, it states " A 502030 LiPo that claims to be 340 mAh is probably a fake claim. And that battery is too thick to fit in most 808 cameras." and reccomends the 402030. I couldnt find any 402030
I'm also planning to do an order from HobbyCity so this may work as well but the 808 page first states that there are reports that it fits then says it doesnt fit. So, I'd like to confirm if the ebay or hobbycity battery will fit into my #16 |

Battery for 808 #16
To order a replacement battery for the #16, send an eBay message to the camera producer (eletoponline365) and ask for availability and price of a battery.
