Blaster 3 being sold

I'm going to put my Blaster 3 in the For Sale soon. Would prefer to sell it locally. See the For Sail forum.

Fun only. The only (CASL) contest I'm aware of is the ALES on 3/17 in Mesa. Don't think we're doing the combined TD/ALES/F3K contests anymore, or at least until everyone's fully recovered from the SWC.

I'll try to be at the dirt field Sunday 10-12 with Dana, since that's when he has time. Avoiding the Chandler Bowl, leaving it to the strafers and dive bombers, and Lee's Panzergruppe.

Completely off topic:

Tonight about 7:20 through 7:25 the International Space Station passes overhead to the SW of Phoenix. It starts in the NW & passes right through the Orion star formation. It will be VERY bright!

Bob thanks for the reminder. The kids and I missed it last time.

It was not as bright as the last time I saw it. For comparison Venus is rated at -4.2 compared to the ISS at -3.x, a magnitude dimmer.

But is was neat seeing it cruise by the Orion belt!

Bob,

that was impressive, especially since the sky was very clear over Ahwatukee. Wish I could launch my DLG that high! Controls might be a tad sluggish.

When are we going to see you again at a contest?

CASL will be flying at the dirt field this morning. Hopefully, I won't be the only one with a DLG.

DLG Blade Glue

I'd like to use rubberized foam-safe CA to bond a straight G10 blade to a solid-core DLG wing. Is that the way to go, or is epoxy better? Don't care for the regular foam-safe CA - too brittle.

Charles:

Epoxy, 20-minute or better.

I don't think black ca is foam safe.

I used epoxy on my Helios wing and I broke the blade free, Donnie helped build up a nice fillet of black ca after i soaked thin ca into the area until it would not take more. Now it is very strong.

Isn't the core rohacell? I thought that is okay with regular CA . Better ask Krikkens.
