I finally got the camera out to record some of my throws. Most looked worse than this one.

Vu, this was slowed down and saved in slow-mo with a free program called Kinovea.

Naaa, that was just an ugly rumor started by Proppy Jon!

I may have to give it a try though as it sounds like fun...

Carlsoti,

Thanks for the video info!

I suspect that you have been studying Jun's launch videos as your footwork appears to be identical to his. I've been studying Jun's footwork and believe that it has helped me a lot. It's smooth and simple!

Thanks, Buddy. That's a huge compliment I don't feel deserving of. While I did look at his videos quite a bit, initially, I didn't intend to copy his style. I thought it was TOO stylish for me to copy. You see, I have to tie my shoe laces in a knot, otherwise I trip on them and I CAN manage to mess up a two-step dance.

Futher back in this thread, I posted a video of when I had JUST started DLG; I had, at most, a dozen throws under my belt when that video was filmed. It was a strange, 3 step launch that never felt quite right and looks even worse. That came from the Chandler DLG guys stressing to me very early on that I should NOT try to power the plane up; Just spin and throw. The night before my first contest, Jun posted his steps in a thread about Knee wraps and explained it all very carefully. I was watching that thread and noticed that I was, essentially, a "right-foot first step" away from that type of launch. I tried it for the first time just minutes before the contest, and have done it ever since.

Now, If I can only figure out how to trim and fly my plane effectively.....

I wish I could be there. I just started a new job, and we're doing an inventory this week. That must be Karma getting back at me for not working...

Knee? what Knee???

Thanks for the concern Jun. So far it is doing great. Sore muscles though, I should have never taken a hiatus from the gym...
