CNC Laser/Router cutter electronics-REDUCED PRICE!

Hey all,

I've upgraded my laser table to a newer control version. I've replaced this stuff so I don't need it any more. All of it came off of a 100% working laser cutter and is a great start for your own laser/router.

I have this table:

http://emissiontechnologies.com/24x48.htm

Here is what you get:

1. Stepper motor power supply
2. Stepper motor control box
3. (2) stepper motors, 1 for X axis, 1 for Y axis
4. (2) micro limit switches (need a total of 4 for operation, available at any decent electronics shop)
5. Link Motion CNC control software (licensed with dongle)
6. Instructions
7. Serial cable

The controller box supports:
X & Y axis motion
laser variable power & on/off
cover override switch
water override switch
air on/off control
red dot diode for optics alignment

The software will cut from any .dxf file. You can generate a .dxf from any CAD program such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Sketchup and many others such as Corel Draw, Illustrator etc. I will throw in a copy of ModelCAD 98 CAD software for free. I used that for years and it does all I need.

In the spirit of full disclosure, the software ran my laser fine and cut great, but the controls for the air and water work backwards. They are supposed to be automatic, but when you run a cut, they would turn "off" instead of "on". I just started the air and water manually and it worked fine.

Looking for $350 shipped

Please, if you have any questions, shoot me a PM.

Just out of curiousity - around how much would a laser cost, say something that could be used to cut out your average balsa/ply kit?

I paid close to $20K for my set up For a serious answer though, it really depends how handy you are. I have seen a very nice home made router table that used these electonics that will do almost the same thing as a laser. This is the meat of the expense. Tables can be built relatively cheap. I paid about $3k for what I'm selling above, but I'm keeping the laser power supply.

You might also look at a Phlat Printer, I dont know if it could me modded to accept these electronics, but the concept is the same.
