Build Log

Micro Pitts Special w. Brushless / Parkzone brick

Hey Folks!

I thought i should share my build of the Pitts special S2.

WS 11.5" (30cm)
Durobatics 0.5mm
Ribs - Depron ribs 3mm and balsa

Pakzone Brick (6channel)
Motor - Turnigy 1015 Brushless Inrunner Motor 11500kv with GB or AP03 with DD
Gearbox - Diedel 1/5
Prop - CamSpeed or 5x4Gws
Led Lightsystem - 4 Lights Green/Red/WhiteLanind/Strobe

EDITED
Since the model is Done iīll Post the Result first

EDITED

Hopefully this will be a success, i want it to be a scale model, handle full vertical and also be able to handle speed speed, so i decide to try a Full profile wing (own design) out of durobatics and a 3d Fuselage based from Chris o Rileys micro pitts. (Thanks, You rock!!)

Your all welcome to post reference pics and suggestions.

But first some plane-p0rn... (isīnt it allowed to write p***?)

Annyway... Let the build begin.

I did the identical stabs by putting the together with tape and sandpaper (first bottom and sand the top and then the opposit)

And the classic stripes.

Damn hard to make them, i made them on free hand i was stupid enough to do them after i glued the profile LOL

You can se the Led-Lightning system coming out of the wing

Really interesting.

I'm planning to stick a Vapor brick in a Walt Mooney Vagabond. I first built this plane about 45 years ago as a rubber job, now I have the gear to make it RC.

I've started, even though I haven't worked out the details of the installation yet.

I also have two AR6400's lying around along with four servos. This stuff has so many amazing possibilities.

No kidding, and you can build so fast with Depron and durobatics, and still have the room for adjustments. and best of all sooooo light, only the fuselage weight only 1gram

Walt Mooney Vagabond? Do you have any pic? or do you mean Piper Vagabond?

And a little further... how do you like it?

This is the third design (offcourse the most simple always win.. )
Im running the aileron servo on 100% MIX to rudder servo.

Nice work. Which AP03 were you planning to use? For a plane this size I think the 4000Kv on one cell would be more than enough thrust.

Thanx man!

Spot on! I got the AP03 4000Kv and the 3A ESC, have you tried the new AP03?

im getting 32g thrust with direct drive with the GWS 5030 and stock battery.
but it feels like its working allot,

i have a more evil plan , i will try the new 10mm 11500kv inrunner with an old 1/4 diedel gearbox, i think i could get more than 50g thrust with 1S .. i will follow the 10mm thread and decide in a few days.

Very nice mesh, serves me right for taking so long on my bulldog. Yours looks really good!! Im going to use the same method to get a symmetrical airfoil on on another version of the bulldog. Yes i feel your pain with the hand painting.
