2200??

I get 4:30 Minutes of hard big sky and 3D on 4S 4000 20C/15x7.
Anything past that and I am asking for LVC.

Save the plane, get some good 4S 4000 30C...

It would be a 6S 2200. I may need to order up some 4S batteries then. EPbuddy is out of stock right now hopefully they will get some in soon. Flying season is right around the corner!

You won't get much flight time out of those. You really want 4000's or something in that range.

I ran mine on series 2200's for a while. It actually gave about the same flight times as I get on 4s 4000's. I kept my timer set at 5:30, and the packs came down right at 3.8v. Of course, this depends on whether you're flogging the throttle or not as well.

3S 2200mAh packs in series is basically a 6S 2200 pack. That a little on the small side even for 6S I'd guess you'd probably want something in the 3000 mAh range on 6S with 2650ish for lighter and shorter flight times. I fly mine on 4S so maybe some of the 6S fliers here can help a little more.

Interesting. I would've thought you would've easily been down below 4 minutes flight times with a 2200 battery.

This was with an Axi 4130-16 385kv motor though, so amp draw was very low. It would help to know what motor he's planning on running in it before estimating what knid of run time he'll get.

4s4000 glacier pack = 412g, 16000 total mah

Yea... 2 2600 3s batteries would be a good bit better than two 2200 3s batteries

Got three flights tonight on the SC with the new DX8. Love those Throttle Curves on a Motrolfly!

I was doing hovering tailslides and dropping it to a Touch N Go from that, Twice! Then on the second flight after it was all trimmed out on the DX8, finished off with a Turner Style Harrier Drop landing, tail first, nose high, drop on mains with letting off the power.

Other that that it was a blast trying lots of stuff and the Triple Rates. I'm back on 15x7, does Death Slides better.
