Thanks for the offer, but I should have specified that I need red and blue ones.

I think I have made up my mind for my first 3dhs plane to be the 57" extra. I plan on running hs225mg, ice 75. I have 2, 4s 2650 and 2 4s 4000 batteries. I already have a eflite extra 300 32e, which I enjoy. I was considering getting my electronics from my Lhs, just to throw them a bone. He deals with eflite, rim fire and scorpion. I am a huge fan of scorpion motors in my helis. I just worry because the scorpion 3026-710 kv I believe would be an option? I'm just unsure I have always flown eflite and installed what it called for. Just getting into 3d. So I am unaware how much weight and power will truly affect its flying qualities. Looking for guidance on motor choice. I would like to buy a scorpion but after reading 60 pages they don't seem that popular in the SC...so just trying to do this right first time. So suggestions and advice is welcome and I can't wait to order this plane!

my 57 is outfitted with 4s 4000 gens ace, ice 100 lite, and motrofly 4315. It's a rocket. Almost stupid vertical as they say. I'd highly recommend it.

I could easily buy a 100 amp lite that's no big deal. Any ideal place to purchase this motrofly?

I highly recommend not getting hs225 servos. They are horrible. Don't center well, poor resolution, lots of gear slop, travel limited, and blow back on this size plane. Do your self a favor and get better servos. Spektrum makes the 5040 servos that are digital, and a tons better, plus they are still cheap.

Specs for the most part as hs225mg but digital and same price!

Yes. This is what i'm using. Highly recommend it. For my elevation, i'm also using a 15x10 apc-e. Static watt tested to 1324 watts on a Gens Ace 4s 4000 25c battery that had about 40% remaining in it.

Well I toasted my hacker A40-10s yesterday in my 57".

Thought I could smell something funny when hovering.

Sure enough a few seconds later and the motor stopped and she went in nose down right onto the prop adaptor.

had a look and motor is melted internally but very little damage to the plane.

Really love this extra on 4s. I had run it for a while on 6s with DM4315-480 but didn't like it much, very twitchy and hard to get the right power to weight ratio right and decent flight times.

4s it rocks with Genace 30C4s4000 packs.

No just gotta find a way to get one of Kens sweet 4315-714 motors into her for some reliable performance.

Although I haven't tried other motors on this plane... I can say that I absolutely LOVE the 4315-714. You can't go wrong with that motor on 4s 4000's. I'm swinging a 15X8 and I'd say the plane borders are just stupid power.

But at the same time it can really slow down for some fun low and slow.

I am considering getting some Hitec Hs-7245 servoes for this bird. How do you get 7.4 volts to them? I can only get 7.0 volts with my ice lite 100.
