Wow, thanks Quad, I had no clue there was such a device...
I used a small blade and turned it repeatedly to peel off the inside and make to hole larger; and guess what now it's too large so I used some tape over the shaft to make it a perfect fit.

If you notice some vibrations when you spool up that means the hole you reamed out isn't even (or you prop is unbalanced). That's the nice thing about a prop reamer, it will ensure that you get a uniform hole in the hub.

That works great if you have one already but if not a $10 reamer is what you want...

A prop reamer in a drill press works even better. I just put my prop reamer in my cordless drill and have at it.

The drill, yes. The prop reamer not so much

Yea... you need one of those too! But if you need a redneck engineered one for the moment you can simply secure a screw driver to the edge of a counter (duct tape works great! ) and put the prop on there. It's definitely not perfect but it will get you in the ballpark.

or just buy xoar props as they are pre balanced i know you are supposed to check them, but any more i just check if i have a bad vibration. otherwise game on

Cool. I just finished my apprenticeship 2 years ago, so I haven't had to travel much yet, thankfully.
