Where? I must have missed Bonedoc's video...

Doc- Loved your SC videos and the variety of smooth and rough flying. Nicely done!

I think I will get a few flight in today. It is only 32 degrees but the wind is down. We will see. Gotta go into work which is by the field.

That's some sick low flying there! Nicely done. Definitely my favorite video I've seen of the SC!

Fun to see some different moves that I can begin working on the sim this winter (i.e. Liked the rolling circles stopping on each KE, rolling loops and the [for lack of knowledge of the name] almost rolling reverse cuban-8 with a more vertical upline!)

Thanks for the compliments!

The 57" SC is definitely one of the most fun planes to fly.

solid flying as always.

Great videos... Can't wait to see you zoom through an EZ-up with a high speed KE pass!

57" SC Maiden!! :)

We finally had a fairly nice day up here in NW OH as it has been unseasonably cold and windy even for this area. So I took advantage of the day and put in 6 flights on my new 57" SC. I was extremely impressed with the smaller version of my 103" SC right from the very first flight. The 57" SC required very little trimming and I was extremely pleased with the power that my motor/esc/prop combo provided.

I had the privilege to fly the larger version of this plane most of the summer and I would have to say that the 57" SC is every bit as good as its big brothers but in a scaled down convenient size. At my CG the 57" SC tracks unbelievably well in KE with my SFG's on and I was very impressed with the KE performance even using just low rates. With KE flight being so smooth and predictable I knew that flying precision point rolls would be no problem.............and sure enough my 57" flies point rolls extremely well. I caught myself several times throughout the day thinking how much the 57" SC flew like the 103" SC. As seen in many of the videos posted in this thread the 57" SC really excels at rolling maneuvers. Rolling circles were really a pleasure and I even found myself getting quite comfortable flying inside rollers which I've been working on quite a bit as of late.

I can't wait to get my 57" SC out again this week. Should be able to get some good video of my 57" SC this week as I prep. another 3DHS plane for maiden. Should be a great week!!!

Sun Flower,

Curious, about your setup.
What made you go with a RimFire on this plane with 2 3S packs? Seems they would weigh a lot.

Did you intentionally prop it with a 15x6 or is that what you had laying around? I ask this because it seems a lot of people are flying with a 15x8.

Congrats Tim! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I put 3 packs through mine today too. I am so impressed with this frame. I keep saying this, but I am not as good of a pilot as this plane shows. It is rock solid on everything. I am now getting completely comfortable with it. I flew the 42 slick after wards and it felt loose and twitchy. I don't think i am going to buy anymore planes under 50". I love the way the bigger ones act on the sticks. Really makes me want a bigger version of my former favorite- the Velox. Big Vyper also catches my eye b/c the 46" Vyp is solid too. who knows whats next????

Oh, Tim... btw, nice vinyl placement and pics
