very cool but i have soooo many projects on the table!.. ok fine... seems simple enough but my smallest battery is a 3s 2100... and i have that "bigger is better" thought syndrome so possibly a 2x size build?

Nice bird! And it does not look too complex either.

The guys at work hunt sometimes, and said it would be cool to have something to chase the birds towards them

Flys Great RC and looks Great in the air also. I came up with the Dirty Birdy a while back https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...ht=Dirty+Birdy

Not as aerobatic as yours but for a RET it does alright. Definately on the Build List .

RC, as you know the dihedral makes it a bit more stable but a gentle flyer. The Birds in my area luv it. The Buggers come out and see who the new kid in town is and every now and then have a go at it . I have watched most of the Bird Video's on your site and all I can say is fantastic. They really look the part and fly gently or you can throw them around. Good Stuff. You have done a great Job. The Eagle is Definately on my build list . Not to hijack your thread but here's a Local Magpie having a close look . Its great when they get close and personnal.

Eddie The Eagle

Hi,
Liked the idea of a RC bird so built the Eagle out of 6mm Depron, a 7" folder powered by a 2812 brushless with a 1000mHA Li-Po.
Will do vertical climbs but needs a hand grip under the CG to aid launching
The model flew really well requiring only a small amount of up trim.
No doubt the KF2 aerofoil helps a lot.
Need to give the motor a little more down thrust for flying at high power.
Really pleased with the models performance.

TWFC Mon 12th Oct 09, Depron Eagle Maiden Flight (1 min 58 sec)
