Another Falcon 120 Twin EDF

Well after seeing Knife Liddle's incredible Falcon 120 wing conversion I decided to have a go at it. Since I am not a man on significant means I am going with Knifes latest set-up using ARC 36-75-1t motors, midi fans and Turnigy 100 HV speed controls. I do have a few questions:

1. I want to use a 8S set-up so I guess I need a total of 16 cells on board is that correct?

2. I need to know what you fellas recommend for the thrust angle.

Is it true that Nitro planes is thinking about discontinuing this airplane? I was thinking about building a mold to make some glass wings for this, and perhaps could make them available if there was some interest.

Thanks in advance.

Here are some pix.

Yep, 16 cells. I`m using 4 x 4s XPS 5000mah 30c packs. Two for each motor. As far as the wiring goes, I have two completely separate systems. Two separate 8s batteries going to the separate esc. You could hook the two 8s packs together in parallel and then run both motors off of the one big battery, but it`s not necessary.

Fiberglass wings would be awesome. Sign me up!!

With all of these planes that have been sold world wide, I`m surprised that someone hasn`t already done it. You know the turbine guys would love to have composite wings for this plane. I think that the market would be huge.

Yeah, I would like build the wings but I am hesitant to tear mine apart to make the plug. Are there companies that can cut foam wing cores to order? That might be the best way to go. Skin them with balsa or just mylar and use those instead.

nope, they say this is a BVM knock off but the dimensions and airfoils are different, also looks like a boomerang or keecat

it just looks kinda like a bobcat but yeah not the same .
I don't think you can hinge with carbon ...Kevlar works as it wont break the strands when you bend it ...carbon will just snap in half where you bend it .
