Tom Thumb's cute.
I have one with a Cox.010 that I flew recently. Flies just like any other Smeed model.

What glow clip do you use for the .010 Gossie - a clothes peg? I have never run mine but I read they like alot of nitro -at least 20-30% ?
cheers

Yes Simon, the clothes peg type.......but I do have a glo-driver as well with small metal clips that work by clipping one to the plug and holding the other on to the head after you have wound the spring start ready to let it go......3 hands would be handy. LOL.

My 'standard' mix for general running of it and other Cox's I have is 50%meth, 25%castor 25%nitro........that brew runs them all okay. Easy to mix too.
My 'hot' brew is 25%meth 25% castor 50% nitro, but that's usually for a competition model with an .049/.051 in it. The little ones both .010 and .020s run on that fine too of course.

I have found that after running any of these Cox Tee Tee's you need to clean out the small holes of fuel residue very carefully in the carbs.......I use some old very fine fuse wire.
Only yesterday I got the new Sabre (Pic posted last week) to give the Tee Dee a run in that in preparation for trimming it, and it would only run on the prime until I pulled the carb. and ran a wire through the holes.

Yes Jim, your memory is still good as is the engine. It fired straight up a few weeks ago when I took out for a fly......with the KSB going OF COURSE.
