2010 RC Bike Worlds, France, Aug 4th - 8th

I had this from Fred, organiser of the 2010 worlds, so thought I'd start posting details so you can all start planning next years holidays!

www.racg.fr

Hi Guys

- The RACG (Grenoble) will organize the 2010 WORLD RC bike race
Week31, from 04 August to 08 August 2010 .

I saw many mails about news rules for 2010 , when each country are ready to discuss about them , we can start . The goal is to have these rules before the official Warm up (date not defined yet ).

- Following many requests to practice on our track before end of 2009.
We propose the Sunday 13 September. We have a AMB in place and it accept the personal transponder (Fortunately)
Some cars should also run but not too many ( maybe 0) and not
simultaneously with bikes. ( Due to French chpt car race on 27-sept) So the
track is reserved for bikes principally .

The track will be open from 9h00 to 12h00 and 13h00 to 18h00
You can camp (please reserve)

Another date in October or November should be propose, but need to be discuss before . So the weather could be worst ....

Hope to see you sooner

I didn't know what it was, so I looked it up and found this quote

“I would never have discovered Troyes, a beautiful medieval town of timber-framed buildings, were it not for a pale, lumpy sausage made from pigs’ intestines that smells like a pissoir….”

Doesn't sound too good.

.please state the rules if known...rain?i suppose we will run in rain if it happens...i will need water proof esc yes? let hope it doesnt but if it does i guess it would level the field like in real moto-gp or atleast it use to..who would have thought Andrea Dovizioso would win at Donington Park this year...also a scale drawing of the track would be nice just to know what we are looking at...i know stubby went to ger. this year and was under geared not knowing what the track was really like.. just any info would be nice..thanks, mike

Yes thanks to the PMT cut 200 wets the bikes work in the rain too so the racing would continue regardless, in fact a few crazy soles stayed on track after Germany trophy presentation just to enjoy the wet conditions the sudden downpour produced. The track was slick but they got round.

Rules for France will be based loosley on the German rules, which were based loosely on the BRCA rules for the National Championships, which are all now on the brca web site under the racing section of the bike thread www.brca.org

Sorry, but I can't make it again. I really wish I could, but I just can't justify a trip that expensive.
