Those turned-up wingtips look like they'll give adequate 'dihedral effect' provided the rudder has enough yaw authority, which it looks like it does. Some of those 'Aerobird' series models actually have anhedral in the main span of the wing, which is offset by the upturned tips.

However, the foam may flex enough to give a little dihedral in flight. I've had several foam things like that,.. and if the rudder wasn't working well enough you just pulled a bit of elevator to induce some more flex in the wing, then they'd turn <G>.
The original Easystar flies great without dihedral, why would this one be any different?

Possibly because some things don't scale directly. I have a feeling that the moments of inertia of the wings on this beast might be one of those things which might scale up at a rate higher than the effectiveness of the vert. stab and rudder. No time and a bad cold will keep me from running the numbers, though. Just something to think about.

It flexes under flight loads and actually does fly with dihedral. the rudder works, but not great. probably what was intended as a beginners first plane. I love the idea of this big foamie and hope it's hugely successfull,.. just sharing my thoughts. I've built tons of 3-channel stuff over the years and love flying with rudder instead of ailerons,.. but dihedral is what converts the yaw from rudder into roll control, and you usually need quite a bit for good roll authority. this is basically a powered glider and it might be just fine with minimal directional control.

This is my idea of "adequate dihedral" for a 3ch plane <G>
