Question

Power supplies for lipo chargers?

Hi all.

I recently bought my first RC plane....ST Model's MX2. Ive taken it out and given it a fly - Flies great, I love it!!!

Just have a question about the lipo charging.

The charger came with crocodile clips to connect to a battery power supply. The manual says it has to be 11-14VDC at more than one Amp. So I'm guessing a car battery?

I charged it from a 12VDC 1.5Amp switchmode plug pack for the first flight. Is it ok to use this as a power supply? Is 1.5Amp ok.....or do I need more?
The battery is 11.1V 1800mAh Charger is 800mA output.

Sorry if these questions are stupid......im a typical newb!!

Thanks!!!!

That supply sounds perfect for your charger. I love those type chargers. Takes longer to do big batteries like yours but safer than some of the more expensive units. Good for starting out.

What you have now will do, you can also hook it up to a car battery or your field box battery if it is 12v lead acid.
