Yeah....replacing the motorbox was easier than I thought it would be.......and if I can do it, anyone with some acetone, CA and some free time can do it.

That's good to hear Well, actually it is not

Here is to hoping you never have to do any repairs (raising beer glass)

Thanks, Rob. And I hope the only repairs you have to make come to you in well crafted boxes from all across America. I'm not a beer fan, so I raise my thin CA bottle to you, my friend.

Hey guys quick question that I'm sure has been answered before (sorry in advance)... I'm starting to collect the odds and ends to put together a 70" slick with a DLE-30. Do I want the DLE with the rear carburetor or the old style side carburetor?

Also... what servo should I use for the throttle?

Ben mentioned to me at Ohio Huckfest that he preferred the side carb version.

You know anywhere that still has the side carb version? I found the rear carb DLE-30 for $225 + $3.99 shipping from valuehobby.com which seems like a killer deal. If I got the rear carb would I be totally screwed or will it work out alright?

it would still work perfectly fine, you just have to be more creative with how to access the carb as it could very well be hidden inside the motor box (depending on how long your standoffs are), and at the very least you would have to take off the cowling to make any adjustments, compared to the side carb where you could (realistically) make a small cutout in the cowl to get carb access

I agree with Ben about running 2 4S 3000's in series to make an 8S setup. I'm flying with 2 4S 4000mah and have really nice flight times.
