Hi Ben...

Evidently, there are two packages, one for the spinner, and one for the plane, the spinner (I assume as it is a one pound package) is scheduled for the 25th. The plane (19 pound package, with different tracking number) is scheduled for Dec. 1st....

Again...not your fault...

I should have checked this earlier, but I found out about 20 minutes ago that I can fit my slick in my 2000 honda accord coupe. Takes a bit of practice, but if you swing it in the passenger door at just the right angle with the headrests removed and the seats back full, it is completely possible.

I was really suprised I got it to fit. The design of the interior of my car really made me think it was impossible. I have to remove the canopy and invert the plane, and even then the tail feathers are occupying 90% of the passenger side.

If only it weren't going to rain tommorow....

A day at the field!!!!

Man did we have a great time at the flying field today!! Weather was just about perfect for late November with light to no wind, sunny skies and great flying buddies.

We flew a host of 3DHS planes today, 70" Slick, 42" Slick, 57" SC, 68" Velox, and yes even some helis and non-3DHS planes. Andrew Jesky and I opted to listen to the OSU vs. U of M game on the radio so that we could get in some late season flying with the beautiful weather. It was great to see Andrew just throw-it-down today. At one point while flying his 70" Slick in a low roller I thought he was going to be dragging his elevator on the runway.

Drew's 70" Slick flies so well on his Hacker A50-16s with an 18 x 10 prop. It had plenty of pull out of hover and definately seems to be a perfect match for this size of airplane. Here are some pictures I took today of Drew flying his 70" Slick. I'd like to thank my good friend Clark Warfel for letting me borrow his nice Nikon camera so I could take some photos today. Also thanks to Drew for a great time today and for letting me have a pull on his 70" Slick.

Enjoy!!!

Tim
