If it helps any when I ran that motor with an Ice 100 and 18x8 prop like you on 6s5000 25c packs it would wattmeter at just under 2000 watts initially and settle a bit after that to about 1875-1900. Check that against whatever you are reading on your 85hv and see...

I'm planning on using servos I already have, all unused and un-abused. DS 8411sa's on ailerons, DS 8411 on rudder, DS 8311's on elevator.

The 8411 are 188oz and .15 sec @6v, and the 8311 are 146oz and .16 sec @6v, will this be sufficient? I was looking at the HS-7940th, but at $750 for 5, I would like to put that somewhere else...

Being in Texas is great, other than the sales tax, so we pay a bit more for the quicker delivery time.

Should I adjust the Bec to an output level of 6.0v? or maybe 6.5v or something?

I'm running 7955's on elevator and rudder , with a pair of 5985's on the wings.

Also....if someone could give me the settings on the CC ice 100 , that would be great.

I "think" my 75amp power poles should be here today , which means I can finally solder up all my battery packs and the battery leads coming off the Ice 100.

Hopefully I can maiden it this weekend.

Generally for larger outrunners you want low timing, and a PWM of 8. Some prefer outrunner mode (default), but 8 seems to work universally for PWM.

The other parameters are somewhat arbitrary. Motor start power, throttle response, etc.

SWEET!!! He wis getting ready to go back on the sim in a few mins after I check my emails ! He will be ready soon.

On a serous note . Would you mind putting him on the buddy box with you instead of him doing it with me. Remenber how nervous it was haveing DAD there when we tried stuff. So I figured he would be less nervous with you than me!

Oh my 71 slick will be here Monday!!!! The servos and esc are at the post office.(getting it in the AM) Cant wait to build it. Radio shipped too!

6.0v to be safe. although 6.6v should be fine as that is a123 voltage, and the 5985's SHOULD be good for that

Should I leave it set on outrunner mode?

I was thinking there was like 5 or different things I was supposed to change.
