I seen that.
What do you do for a charger?

+1 on both the 3010b and 1010b, I love those chargers. The 3010b on a pair of feathermerchant power supplies in series and some || charging cables is like having a time machine

Mine with A50-16s and 6s-4000, AUW is 9.2 lbs. Probably wanna try an 8s-3800 setup later with A50-14L.

I have flown both 6s4900's and 6s4000's in my 70 (today even)....it is light...weighs under 9lb with the light pack....just over 9lb with the 4900......I like the 4000's better.....you can for sure feel the lighter-floatier feeling with only 4 or 5 ounces less......not that the 9.8 is bad.....but lighter will for sure feel better.

for the same watts, a higher voltage means less amperage. so really you are pulling a lot less amps with the extra 2 cells in the setup, therefore using the 3300 mah more slowly, which should give you about the same flight times (i think it was decided that 8s3300 is roughly equal to 6s5000 in flight time, i may be wrong on that one)
For example....I've got a 6s2200 setup in my 57SC....I fly 8 minutes.....same as others fly on 4s4000's.....MUCH lower amp draw.....and lower amp draw = less heat and wasted energy = more efficiency.

However....I run 6s4000's in my 70 slick....for 7:30 flight times.

+a million. being able to charge 6x 6s5000 packs in an hour through a wall socket is fantastic.

Well I just took the plunge and ordered a motor box, cowl and canopy to try and fix mine. Nosed it in a week or so ago when my thumbs and brain got confused while inverted.
Not looking forward to the motor box repair, but everybody says it isn't bad. We'll see!

It isn't that bad. I even managed to do it. Check out my blog for proof.

I think I'll keep my light weight 6s-3800/4000 setup for now.

Should I discharge them to 3.8-4.0 V for long time storage?
