Atlanta Hobby had similar issue with Pa and wrote an unfortunate comment about them in the Seff 09 handout

Nor will my local hobby shop that was a P.A. dealer....

However, this is a 3DHS thread, so lets get back to that......

I've looked everywhere for a Xoar 20x8 E prop.
If the Turnigy's are OK I'll try them out.
Turnigys E props are fine IMO...never noticed then being under pitched in the sizes I have used but they are lighter.

I have made it my mission in life to steer people away from P.A. and to 3DHS...MUCH better planes, MUCH better service, and MUCH nicer people to talk to for help. I figure if I can save "one" person the B.S. my son and I went through, I'll be happy...

It interesting that Atlanta Hobby used to be the US distributor for PA, and now they are not.....AFAIK.

I'm glad I didn't get into 3D until the past 6 months. I know nothing but great customer service and awesome planes.

here is a video that a friend shot a few weeks ago of me flying the gas powered 70" slick. The other guy (michael) is flying his new 103" Extra330SC with a DA100.

3DHS 70" DLE-30 AJ Slick (9 min 23 sec)

highlights:
0:57~Down low 3d'ing with 103" up higher
1:57~low hovering transition sloppy torque rolls and then 103" joins in
3:15~knife edge passes start but then a redneck starts yelling crap
4:27~harrier to hover then more sloppy torque rolls
5:22~upright flat spin to a harrier to hovering

Do you guys really see much different between a 9.2 lbs and a 9.8 lbs Slick ?

Mine with A50-16s and 6s-4000, AUW is 9.2 lbs. Probably wanna try an 8s-3800 setup later with A50-14L.

Interesting question Vien. I love the light wing loading of the 6S Slick and really enjoy it on calmer days or when the winds are light. I recently added a 70" EF Extra built with an 8S set-up to fly on windy days. Not exactly the comparison you asked after, but now I feel I have the best of both worlds (lighter vs. heavier: 6S/8S). Both are powerful enough and a joy to fly; but I find that the 8S ship has a different feel that my 6S ships (Slick, Osiris). It will be interesting to see what others experience is with an 8S Slick.
