I think most are running 20-30C packs. I don't notice a difference between the 20 & 30C packs...I'd just go with the 20C packs...they're about $45

And great pics this are too.... I just wish the paint on my pilot hadn't melted....I think the cockpit looked pretty good. I may have to try to redo it.

Last I heard robert was using the TR50-65B-350 https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=2101
It is what I am using and I've had no problems.
I also bought one of the 85 amp Turnigy esc he recommended and it worked well until it smoked on the flightline last weekend from the motor stating up and running backwards too long. Since I was at the Huckfest and wanted to fly some more so I bought a 100 ICE Lite from a vendor and put it in. Oh My Gosh;the overall power seemed to increase and the throttle response was way better, so if I had it to do again I'd buy the Castle.
The 85 ESC did fine but you can really tell the difference between them.
I am running the 20x8 Xoar and I really like it on that motor.

20x8 Xoar is really pushing that motor isn't it?

Not at all, about 95 amps, motor comes down slightly warm, after 6-7 minutes of a mixture of full bore and regular flying. very impressive multiple waterfalls, hovers about 1/3 to 1/2 throttle.

It would probably be fine.... I don't know if this is the case for all Turnigy props (though others in my club have said the same thing), but it seems that the Turnigy's are not "true" to the pitch rating. I tried an 18X10"E" "light" prop, and both the watts and amps were down, and so was performance.

great info, (in my case) great to hear. as id prefer a 19 X 8. so the over rated 19 x 10 may be perfect.
