That's some patience. It would be killing me to have that plane sitting in a box for a few weeks while waiting for a motor. I don't even like waiting until the next day, heh.

You know....daily rent could add up to a 70" Slick.

Be a guinea pig....go with the Scorpion. I did on the 89" Slick.

Ported this idea over from the 89" Slick thread. I got an airplane and they got a box...not sure which one of us is happier.

Yea, its probably a big box too... I said mine is in but it was shipped to Davidsons office.... so I really don't have the reminder that it is here sitting in front of me... maybe that's why it is a little easier for me to wait a little while. I was looking at the ICE 100 and am pretty sure that it is what I will use for the ESC and I might just pull the trigger on a Scorpion. Sure would like to here from someone who has run the 4025-16 on something the size and weight of the 70" slick, it does look good in the motor calc. program.

Those are great pics Blake. Cute girls. Mine love their princesses as well .

Yep, mine also love the boxes they come with. Since you got them into that idea, wait till you get the 103" SC, THEN the girls can play NOAH's ARK with them

build progress...

I made some progress last night and wanted to mention a couple of things for y'all that are patiently waiting to start yours. You already know about the cool hatch configuration, the CF bracing, etc. but there's plenty of small things too. For example, the linkage is outstanding: upgraded ball ends with hex screws and nylon insert locknuts to hold them in place. Even the wheelpants are super easy. Since I fly in very rough areas, I like to use big wheels. I usually consider wheelpants a pita and don't bother but these are nice and roomy, you can fit big wheels in there and not need tiny fingers to assemble.

Let's see some more build pics guys!

I still have to figure out if this one will fit in the Camry or not. The 103 might just be out of my wallets reach right now.
