Ok. You'll probably put it up next week. What power system are you gonna use you think. I think it should be fine on those watts. Joe's was worrying me I think because the problem with the speedo. We'll know more on thursday.

I actually won't be able to make it thursday or friday unless I can change something. I might be out wednesday and forsure sunday. Early games saturday with the kids. Weather is getting crummy this week too.

FWIW, I'm using a variety of batteries (as low as 15C). For example, I just did a quick test with one of my 15C batteries that was "storage charged" to around 23.6V and pulled a little over 1500 watts at 70 amps with my "2100 watt" setup (2100 watts was with a brand new 25C battery). I flew the plane several times with the 15C batteries on Saturday and it felt fine. With a new, fully charged $59 Turnigy 20C battery I'm pulling around 1950 watts and 82 amps (that's the pack I want my setup to be optimized for and it felt great flying). I'm not trying to suggest any of the other motor choices are bad, just want to throw the A50-12L in there as another good option. I'm saving my A50-16S for the (lighter) Velox

Regarding the Reaper 60XL... I think it is adequate power, but feels slightly under powered compared to some of my giant scale 3d planes. My 35% H9 Extra 260 with a DA-100 pulls out of a hover faster.
I just added Three Popsicle Sticks to the underneath side of the tray all the way across the bottom. Super Strong for removing packs with the toughest of Velcro

Popsicle Sticks-good idea.

What was the reason for flooding the top of the landing gear plate with Gorilla Glue? Somehow I missed that original discussion.

In one of Ben's RC Groups Build instructions or it was mentioned somewhere , makes the landing plate SUPER STRONG

Good idea gofly! I'm going to do that to mine. That long tray really flexes a lot when breaking the hold of the velcro!

Hi Guys....

I'm curious as to what the all up weight of this plane comes out to??

I have a 73" Aero-Works 90-1.20 Yak that comes out to 12.8 pounds with two 5S 4000mAH packs. I'm thinking of selling the plane, and getting the Slick when it is available.

Would and Axi 5330-18 with the previously mentioned packs be too much?? It's 2467 watts..

Prop down a little. 2400 is a bit much, 2000 is not excessive.

Aileron Plugs !!

I used some plastic shelving clips then CA'd the male end of my servo extension from the reciever to each clip. Then I put them in an existing hole in the back of the tray and CA'd them in.

This makes it super easy with one hand to plug and unplug the servos from each aileron

That's cool! I need to rig up a wing bolt holder inside the plane. I have already gone out to fly and forgot the wing bolts. I keep them in my pants pocket every day now.
