Look for the 1/2" x .194 x 1/2"
Would those spacers be required for the 4025-16? Also, is that the Scorpion collet, or did you use something else?

Don't you know that "almost perfect" and "pretty darned good" are synonymous?

Thanks, but I can't take credit for that. My spell checker fixed it for me. It originally looked more like snuffleupagus!

lol, he meant that Scorp doesn't have a bolt on mount, which is accurate.

Oh...gotcha. Yeah, I knew the Scorpion didn't use a bolt on prop adapted, but I wanted to know if he used the stock Scorpion collet adapter, or did he use a different brand like the Hyperion.

The scorpion collet adapters work fine. Here's how I get them on...

1. gently clean/rough the shaft with a light sand papering
2. get an old wood prop (something woody that the shaft can poke through, old broken prop is perfect) and tighten the nut down onto the prop adapter
3. grip the motor and turn the prop against rotation until you're physically unable. The wood will grip the prop washer and nut, but turn against the collet. The reason you use an old prop or woody thing is that the prop adapter will dig the poop out of it and resurface it. When you first start turning the prop, all kinds of things are turning; the collet against the shaft, the prop against the adapter, the nut and washer. But, keep going and it'll all tighten up to the point where you can't turn it against the motor any more (for motors of this size, you can really put your back into it until you really can't turn it). It may even generate a little heat around the shaft (fascinating and fun at the same time).
4. undo the prop nut, clear away any cut wood or varnish from the prop adapter, and it's good to go.

With this, the collet wont come off without a bearing puller or something quite serious. It sure as heck wont be coming off the shaft in flight. I've done this to four scorpions (two 4035's, and two SII-3026's) and the adapters are as solid as any bolt-on adapter I've owned. I haven't used any loctite on the collets, but you can if you're paranoid.

I do this before the motor is mounted, allows me to get pretty mean in tightening it without having to worry about breaking a plane.
