I think I would probably try the heavier motor in my 72" SC as it needs more weight up front to make battery changes a little easier. It could use the extra power too as it seems a little heavier than my 70" Slick. The SC has already had a DLE30 and now the 4325, so it really will look like swiss cheese if I go up to the 5320!

Yeah it was a gas setup. I bought it from a guy that kept having problems with dead sticks and got tired of dealing with it. Last dead stick it came down hard on landing and did some minor damaged so he sold it dirt cheap

I am asking because my next plane will be an 89" Slick and I am on the fence with the gas vs. electric due to battery costs for 12S? But I so love the power and convenience of electric.

Thanks everyone. I've flown the 71" on a Hacker A50, but wasn't pleased with the power. I saw Matt, losi, fly his a couple weeks ago after switching from his 4325, and after hearing him talk about the flight differences between motors, I am sure I'm going to really enjoy flying it today.

I haven't flown a gasser, but have a few cars that are gas. After playing with electrics for a while, I would find it difficult to justify any future purchases being gas/nitro driven. Between price, tuning time, cleanup, and general after-run maintenance, I'm stuck on electrics!

Yeah,

I used to say the same thing...

Then I flew my Velox for 20 minutes and still had gas left!

I like the power, the sound and the flight times.

After break-in and it's leaned out, the gas isn't as dirty as nitro and clean up is pretty easy. Definitely a worthwhile trade for the benefits!

I have a video that Safety Hawk did coming up shortly . It was a windy day but man did we have fun. Thanks Jay for putting the video together for me! This was one of the last flights I had at the sod farm. The video was with the 4325 310kv motor on a mejzlik 18x8 prop

The OS is a sweet running engine. Very Little vibration. Now we just need the weather to clear up.

I'm really interested to hear more feedback on the OS33. Does it have the same mount pattern as the DLE30? How badly do you have to cut up the cowl for a 71" Slick?

Was thinking of getting the 48" Edge or new 46" Yak for my next plane (inexpense plane to fly at local park) , but I think I should save my money and go with the 71" Slick. Already have the 42, 51 and 59 Slicks and LOVE them!!!!
