New lost model alarm, compact, LOUD, light and Spektrum compatible

These products are designed and manufactured here in Australia, these are not imports, we are the designers - keeping R/C knowledge and technology local!

The "Lost model alarm", a device you rarely think about until it's too late. It's so easy to lose a model in grass and walk within a meter of it while looking but still not find it. Save yourself a lot of trouble and get one of these light weight, loud time savers.

Bonus feature: The new LMA-02's have a built in 220uF Low-ESR cap which actually assists in keeping your receiver/servos voltages more stable, so even when it's not helping you find your model the LMA is still being a useful participant!

If you put them into an 'echo chamber' in your plane somewhere (eg, empty fuselage section) you'll find that they can sound even louder depending on the configuration.

Compatible with PPM, PCM and Spektrum receivers.

At only 7.5g weight even with 150mm of lead this is a light weight gadget that is a huge time saver.

These are for 4 cell / 5V systems. If you want a 5-cell capable unit, then I suggest the PLD-LMA-LVA ( http://nqrc.com/?vp=PLD-LMA-LVA )

Available now at - http://nqrc.com/?vp=PLD-LMA-02 ($23.00 AUD / ~$19 USD)

Delivery to UK, US, ZA, NZ, AU and many other places. Delivery charges depend on your destination - the NQRC site will compute the charges )

Matt,

Delivery charges are applicable in addition to the cost of the LMA. The NQRC site will be able to determine the charge for you (typically it's about ~$7.50 USD delivery via Airmail ).

Please note that the actual charge costs are in Australian Dollars (about 0.82 USD).

Gentlemen,

There IS a reason why the RCG forum has categorized sections and sub-sections.

This thread belongs in "VENDORS" - Product Announcements and NOT here.

How does the lost plane alarm work with failsafe receivers? Is it on a separate channel that must be activated, or does it plug into your elevator channel with a Y-cord and alarm after so many seconds (or minutes) of inactivity on that channel?

F111 John,

With PCM receivers (and failsafe units) you have to preprogram the failsafe to produce a pulse greater than ~1300uS (1500 is a safe point) which will subsequently trigger the LMA. With non-failsafe the absence of the pulse itself will result in the commencement of the alarm.

One situation where this all becomes an issue is with some DSP enabled receivers that capture-hold the last pulse indefinitely (though if you can get within reasonable range of the unit you might be able to re-arm the receiver and then activate the alarm by triggering the LMA channel).

Usually on smaller planes the LMA goes on gear or flap switch channels. For larger setups an AUX.

On a final note, I'm going to [LOCK] this thread so that it falls off the FS/W thread rather than continuing to have it bumped up constantly. If you have any more questions you can PM me or come over to the vendor section ( https://www.rcgroups.com/nqrc-pldani...ectronics-618/ )

Regards,
Paul.
