Modified "Mons-Schedule" with Take-Off and Landing being scored.

Jürgen
Hi,

I flew this schedule this evening and it's not so far to the FAI.

I notice a mistake in the description o the figure A07 " perform two points of a four-point roll ". In the ARESTI and the short description, this is only a half roll and not a two points of a four-point.

I hope the right manoeuvre is "Half square loop from top, with ½ roll on down-line, exit inverted".

Can you confirm ?

Of course it is not so far from the FAI schedule, as it was just modified by top pilots during a competition in Mons (Belgium) to make it flyable in standard gyms.

Even the first FAI schedule had #07 incorrect:

1/2 roll on the downline is correct.

Hi Nicolas,

as soon as we have FAI F3P schedules which are actually flyable in our standard gyms, I will gladly adhere to them. Until then, many countries are either forced to modify them, or not fly F3P at all.

Hi Andy,

if you are going to modify the description, you may also think about modifying the description for take-off-/ landing-sequence.

There is no need for such a steep climb (3.5m/ 5m) after take-off. According to the FAI rules, all you need to do is climb until the second 90° turn during take-off and no climb after crossing the middle of the hall during the landing sequence.

Thanks for the input Jurgen, I'll look at this in detail too.

The ammended description should be available in about an hour from now

Hi Dave I intend to keep B and C the same as written currently unless pilots have any views where they would want to see this changed.

Soory but if I read correctly english, the short description of (A07) in red not correspond to the long description in black.

Your interpretation of English is perfect.

The link to the corrected schedule has the suggested takeoff criteria change but not the A07 correction

Is it possible to split this topic to separate UK Masters with non FAI Schedule and FR IITOP with FAI rules and schedule ?

What a mess. IITOP, DAeC German 2010 F3P Championship and last competition of the Netherlands 2009/2010 Championship - all at the same weekend. Makes it very hard to decide where to go.
