Showrace in Friedrichshafen:
Sort of "won" it (4 Laps in front) and Fastest Lap (~Ätsch:-). I was the only one under 19sec.
It was a lot of fun driving in front of so many spectators. We used Foam tires especially
made for the event. They used some sort of dragster grip stuff on the track +
the foam tires made driving REAL fun. I could accelerate out of the corners
really early and pull the brakes WAAAAY later than normal. Turn speed was
unbelievable fast.
Under the line it was a lot of fun, a few beers on top of that made it even more fun.

Other info you might not be interested in but I will tell you anyway:
The 6T Delta is crap to drive, no torque out of the turns. I must have gone
the wrong way in motor selection for my bike. Bikes seem to need plenty torque
in the mid-range to accelerate properly. So its back to higher number windings
and larger rotors. Actually its common sense when youre not such a dumbass
like me...

I'm glad you found that out, so I don't have to buy one

Currently have 6,5T and 4,5T Motors, and will try what they can do to my SB-5

Foam Tires: I think its called Foam. The stuff the 1/8th IC Onroadcars use.

It works excellent on Tarmac with Draster Drip Stuff. The tires MUST have
plenty of grip otherwise they are ruined within a Lap on a normal Track.
We where afraid that they would be ruined quickly as soon as you hit anything
but noone had trouble. Tire wear was minimal, but we only drove about 10 Charges.

Eini made them for us together with Marc(Vice-WC, SUB) and Tom(WC Finalist too, STK).

Here you can see a few pics I took off the german site.
Note the most important accessory when germans/swiss/austrians work: BEER!!!

I think I am going nuts....
I have about 5 new designs going paralell and I am not happy with any one of them.
The fork designs are driving me crazy either its to expensive, too soft, too ugly, too heavy or whatever else drives me up the wall.
I am trying to make something very different at the rear and again I am moving around in circles. I works in my head but it turns into crap on the screen...
Midday I decided to start drinking beer while going through the whole heap of s#!t but that didnt help either......
Somehow I have the feeling I hit the sweet spot with the latest design I made.
I might just give the Generation 6 a proper update and see what happens.

After yesterday I made a few decisions today.

I am staying with a standard type Fork.
I am not making a new rear end.
I decided to only make a slight update to the bike:
-Got rid of all those little bugs that made me crazy
-Doubled the rigidy of the chassis but lowerd its weight by 10%
-Fine tuned the CG: lower and more central
-Changing geometry hardly changes the balance
-Changing balance is possible without changing the overall weight
-Minimum weight is 1600g
-blablaetc.

Edi,you make me laugh.

Orbit around many different ideas and come back to the same/similar conclusion with doses of madness inbetween,I love it.

I can just imagine you working like a mad inventor with a pile of drawings and complex algorithms drawn all over big black boards. All you need is a big frizzy ginger afro and your there buddy. If you talk to the little pixies it helps sometimes.

Yeah youre right. I MUST be nuts.

By the way I found the ULTIMATE tire inserts by now. They cost more than a set of tires+rims+Pmtinserts each. Now I can drive a light Wheelset with the rotating mass as far out as possible which makes it ultrastable and really easy to drive. I already used them in Lostallo, I could still drive the 200s when all others had to switch to the 010s. The tires dont loose their geometry when they get hot. And now the tires keep forever, its the absolute secret weapon. Dont ask me for them until after Lostallo 2011 in August....
