If you have a bit more sophistcated Radio (like the Futaba 3PK) it has a Stopwatch and Lap Counter. If you set it up right you can take your own times during driving.. I preferably do it that way so I dont have to hassle with some Timing software and always have my times right after the run.

I use a stick Futaba FF3 with lap counter and stopwatch, so I can measure 100 laps a time, but it's awkward to use, because the buttons assigned to the stopwatch are on the front and up. I use it however to measure 10-minute sessions, so I have a measure of time on the track. With my motor, my 3200/3300's last me easily 20 minutes...
Today I installed the 13.5T brushless so I'll start over from tomorrow!

Overall 116 Lipos this year (870km): I am back to the drawingboard again, for the hopefully LAST redesign.

I was trying out a 8.5T in the bike .... this wasnt quite the right thing.... you have too much time to think while driving.... thats how to make mistakes .....I will switch back to a 4.5T

Today I spontainously decided to go to a track in Salzburg/Nussdorf for some training (about 2h drive from here). I know a pensionist thats there ervery sunny day so I gave him a call and he invited me. It was really great to be on a new track. Grip was absolutley stellar. It only took me 2 Lipos to get used to it then I started pushing. Overall 8 charges in 4 1/2 hours. I am so happy it was REAL fun ...OH! I ripped the FIRST Belt ... I carried the belt from one prototype to the next... I dont know how many Battries went through that belt........200-300 I guess.....I have been driving it since autum 2009.... . So if anybody EVER thinks a chain might be better that a belt....~wro~hong~

1000km aniversary!!!

137 Lipos so far... thats a rough approx. of over 1000km..
Broke the gearing of the brake servo yesterday, thats okay I didnt design it so its one of the parts that are prone to brake (~ediisabighead~)

I havent blown one motor yet. The 5.5T X11 I started on last year is still running fine. And now I am using a 4.5 that runs perfectly around 45°C so if I am lucky that should run forever too

147 Lipos through......(36h, 4400laps, 1140km).....I am averaging low 27s when I take it "easy". My girlfriend timed a fast 26,1 lap on Saturday. I cant wait to go below the 26seconds a lap. I manage a few consecutive 26es when I push a bit but it is still a bit tricky to drive I have too much errors. I have done a lot with the steering springs and the brake balance, that really seems to be the key to speed.
On wednesday I am getting the parts for the latest Prototype (2010.2). Then its time to retire the 2010.1 and hope for the best.

170 Lipos.... still slightly over the recordbreaking 25sec/LAP. I averaged the first sub 27 over 10minutes thats quite a succsess. Next Sunday is the definate first serious race for me and the bike. Unluckally I had some problems with a manufacturer and the latest prototype will only be finished by wednesday *sigh*.
I have switched to a 9T Delta Wound Motor (equals a 4.5T) but its more controlable. Temperatures stay below 40°C so overheating shouldnt be a issue. Run times are around 20min.

Here just a few action shots.
