After my family and my faith, I have two passions in life – slope flying and RC aerial photography.
I love all things flying and aviation related and I obtained my private pilots license in 1994 at John Wayne Airport, in Orange County California. I have done some skydiving but today, I don’t do either of those as much as I used to. Instead, I’ve found a real passion for slope flying and RC aerial photography. I started flying RC with gliders (back in January 1996) Then in (October 2004) I started flying electric airplanes. Then in (April 2013) I started flying Multirotors.

In March 2007 I took my first aerial photography with an RC airplane. I now use DJI multirotors also known as RC Drones to do most of my aerial photography.

I have also been blessed through the hobby by meeting some really great people becoming friends with many of them.

On June 1, 2015 I officially started working for DJI.
So I now have a green sponsor tag on my user name.

Here is the link when I made the announcement on the 450/550 thread.

Not officially working with DJI anymore so no green sponsor tag on my user name.
I am still with them as a beta tester and consultant.

God Bless.

Just realized I did not have any pictures of my multirotors on this thread.
So here they are.

I currently have 9. With 2 more in the build queue.

Yep, that is the main reason. The other reason is that I have started to teach my 12 year old son and my 14 year old daughter to fly.

My son has also started to show an interest in building quads so I have added to the fleet. We just finished a F550 Y6 and a nother F450.

Dihedral,.... Too little can really make a plane fly squirrely, especially one with no prop and no rudder. What I have found is that if you imagine a straight line from wing tip to wingtip, you want that to go thru about the center of the fuse. This works on most planes, but not so much on stubby wing planes. But make it look right. Dihedral usually isnt that critical unless you go WAY less than you should have.

New additions to the fleet.

I have been trying to figure out which 2M glider to buy.
Well I made a decision. Well in a way I did not make a decision. I called a good friend of mine last week because I wanted to get his opinion on a 2M plane I knew he had. I also just wanted to talk and catch up with how he has been!
After talking for a bit, it turns out he is not flying much anymore. He has not flown slope in about 4+ years. So he wanted to thin out his fleet and sell a bunch at a low price. He is keeping a few just in case he wants to get back into the hobby.
So I met him at his hangar (he also flies full scale) yesterday and... as I said I did not really make a decision, I bought almost everything he had except for the one I called him on (a Blade Carbon) and a couple others.

So I ended up with...

Trinity 3M .... (with extra large center wing so it is 3.3M: also included is a extra e-fuse and standard center wing).
Aris 3M
Wizard Compact 2X 2.5M
Erwin DS Carbon 2.1M
Opus V DS Carbon 2M
Opus V DS Carbon 2M .... (a back-up Opus)

I went from 1 moldie to 7 modies in 1 afternoon. Crazy.
Looks like I will be busy this summer.

They are all in like new condition except the Trinity but it is also in very good shape.

They are all ready to fly but I will need to put in new batteries and switch some of them from 72mHz to 2.4

I also picked up a Hill Racer built by Marty H, a Spitfire PSS built by Brian L (never flown), a 3M scale Ventus, and a Hobie Hawk (very old but never flown) fully built and ready to fly.

We were joking as we were going through all the stuff "it was like an estate sale" , but luckily it was not.
