Hi Tony,
Thanks for asking!...
Thanks again to all for voting for my Bro Joe! The voting for the MetRx video contest is over. The U.S. Marine won the video workout contest and Joe is totally cool with that! Thanks again for your vote! BTW, about a month ago he won 3rd, and his wife won 6th place in a contest held in Austin. We're proud of them for being able to do that at 48 years on this earth
Cheers,
Jim

Having move to quad from a tri am am now wondering WHY
quads are able to yaw without servos but Tri's dont seem to employ that feature ?

Would that not simplifiy tri builds and use ?

Just askin cuz its easier than reading 2 Gb of threads.

quads have 2 ccw props and 2 cw props to yaw the pair of each spin faster or slower depending on stick give you yaw thrust.

Thanks Quad addict.

I also see for checking around since I asked the question that
Tri with TWO tail rotors but single CR front rotors CAN be done without a servo.

I might have to tri that fo fun.

Tri-Quad-Hexa-Octo-copters!!
Hi Bob,
Yep. That version is called a V-Tail. The Mutliwiicopter, UAVX and OpenPilot have working versions of the V-Tail.

Sweptback WiiCopter - Park Test (3 min 8 sec)

TRIcon-V4 UAVX (1 min 55 sec)

Vtail Y6 maiden (1 min 43 sec)

Thanx some more !

I just ordered 4 more motors.
This time I did NOT purchase Can type motors that use miserable, easily loosened,
detachable set screw mounts.

keep up the good work :-

These things seem to be as rare as hen's teeth in the UK. Done a lot of Googling to locate a supplier and only found very limited size/shape etc. or you have to buy 1,000,000

The best selection I've seen is on the MWC site.
