I'm very pleased that Dave is allowing us to carry his motors. They are established as being great motors at a reasonable price.
They will be a reliable addition for the guys asking for "grunt"

We are looking forward to the carbon fiber rotors from Skyworld in the near future.

are any of your carbon fans going to be ready for the Viperjet contest??

I have ordered a Shubie HDT 30 hoping to spin it over 70,000 but would try one of yours in carbon as well. J

I wish, but, no J.
Progress is being made, but no ETA.

I'll be running a Skyworld housing, with a Shubie rotor in it. Motor is still up in the air. I don't have my Viper airframe yet. Gotta get one.
...........................

Actually the contest runs until the end of April. Who's knows?...maybe rotors will before then. but don't hold your breath.

Any news Gary?? maybe a teaser on what Fred is helping with or any development prigress.

For a test idea, I would be interested to know how the housing and tailcone work to cool the motor compared to traditional heat sinks or none at all.

I will ask carl on the comparison test thrread as well. My interest is for obvious reasons.J

J,

Fred is busy with his own alum housed 100mm EDF with cut down Dynamax blades. Sorry to to disapoint you. Seems I have a few things to learn.
I'll PM you.

There is currently no test cooling performance data, besides the fact that an entire EDF unit of aluminum, with 100-200mph air blowing through it, is obviuosly more effective than a 1" heat sink ring (finned or not finned) hanging on the back of a motor in the efflux.
