Greg N's new 160" RE Cross Country scratch built original design

Aug 2, 2009 Greg N. and fellow volunteer builders maidened the new scratch built RE 160" cross country original design at Dartmouth field in San Jose. Greg designed the plane and the crew built it in 5 weeks. Details I recall: the wing is a Drela airfoil (glass over) foam and composite body made from one of Dominic's molds. I don't recall the weight. And Greg somehow had a successful "hand toss", did some trimming and then had a beautiful winch launch. One of the early flights almost spec'd out, climbing gracefully.
