Raptor GS Version 2 Build log

Hey all,
I finished building my Raptor V2 today so I'm going to post the pics up here as I'm doing the instructions. I flew it today and it is very snappy and not so floppy like the old one. The weight came out at about 40-41g including battery and the landing gear. Taking the landing gear off would bring it down to 38 or so.

The pushrods are premade, the landing gear premade, the ailerons beveled and taped, elevator beveled and taped, and the rudder beveled, so alot less work. Mostly just linking a few cuts and glueing to be done.

I know that this is a very old thread, but I am really considering buying one of these and I am wondering how hard it would be to build? I am a newbie to building and have some help from the guys that I fly with.

Thanks,

Brent

Love the sport, not the plane
Sweet! Still EPP right? Do you know if it is 1.3 or 1.9 lbs per sq. foot?

EPP nose and wingtips only. The rest of it is depron. If you have enough self discipline to build very light it will be reasonably durable, but not "bounce off the walls" durable like the all-EPP ones.

The V2 is much easier to build than the first one. Many people got frustrated trying to build it straight. The depron goes together perfectly straight. With a bit of help from anyone who's successfully built a few foamies, it's a cake walk.

I have built a few of these...not hard at all! Just remember to go super light on glue and take your time!
