Im trying to find out if i could put brushless motors in my cheap rc stealth boat

One Stealth Ultra Fast Boat

Finished in black

2x 380 racing motors

Speed of 30 km/h

Range of 30 metres

2x high torsion propellers and spares

Propellers stop when removed from water

Radio controller handset

1x set of transfers

Suitable for age 12 years and up

Size: Stealth Ultra Fast Boat L 70.0 cm

its ok but i would like to install brushless motors but when ive read up a little
its going to be harder than i thought lol
im not planning on spending a lot want it to go a bit quicker and a bit of an experiment for me as iam all new to this ive watched some you tube vids and there are some unbelevable speeds comming from electric brushless motors
im just wondering would

2 ( X2PRO Brushless Inrunner motor B3540-16 KV4000 with 45a esc and would i need to buy 2 esc's

these motors are very cheap from ebay item :260455746917

would they be better than 2 brushed 380 motors if i somehow made them fit

i think there a bit big

Dimension: ¢36.0X40(mm)

Shaft: ¢3.175/¢5X12.0(mm)

Weight: 182g

could anyone tell me if there worth buying

any help/comments would be appreciated thanks

I suspect that by the time you've gotten it running with new motors, you'll have replaced nearly everything but the hull. however were I to remotor it, methinks I'd try a pair of graupner speed 400's(brushed) or if I were to go brushless a pair of feigao 380L 12t or 10t motors(would probably have to change at a minimum the motor/drive shaft couplers, if not the drive shafts).
yes for brushless motors you need one esc per motor
quite likely one could get the boat up to 20-25mph before having handling issues

I wouldn't touch it with a very, very long pole.

For a fast fix. You can get a big leap in run time and extra speed (save weight) going with a 2S lipoly cells 2200mah would do it.

I've heard of people puting brushless motors in the stealth before but the prob is geting the right drive gear in it. My neighbors stealth goes prety good on just a six cell nimh.

Maby upgrade to 380 brushless size motors with water cool and mabe a 14.8 Lipo pack. Will look cool!

thanks people i havn't touched it yet im just glad i didnt before i asked on here ive read other posts on people building boats and i know you all have a very good knowledge im thankfull for any advice that will get most speed without blowing my motors up or being too quick too handle and sinking and me having to swim for it as my little lad wouldnt be too pleased leaving it in the pond lol so 2 graupner speed 400's(brushed) would fit in mounts without me having to get a new 1s and would it run better with the 7.2 nimh or 2S lipoly

could any 1 tell me which 1 of these motors would be best to get more speed and would i still have to change my esc's if i got brushed motors ive found the
graupner speed 400's(brushed) very cheap i think in link above

and a bit cheaper ^

a pair of either the speed 400 6v or the 7.2v should work nicely. you might not see a large increase in speed, but you ought to see a notable drop in motor temp.
