Dear BlackTitanium,

Please, could you show us how do you place the tail linkage?
I'm not sure which type of linkage to use. Flex cable or rigid pushrod?

Thanks a lot

Just wondering.

Does anybody here knows where to get a new fan for my EC 135, 450 size.
I have been looking all over for a new one. Hard to get.

Thank you

is working flawlessly, and cost less than a decent tail servo.
No CG issues, no weight issues, fairly easy to build yourself. (I built the prototype as shown in the video in less than 8 hours, starting from complete scratch). No heavy powerdrain (up to 9.5 minutes out of 3S 2600 mAh with 20% rest capacity), and no demands on the main motor (can be the cheapest 3000~3500 kV motor)

No "real" Fenestron (no adjustable pitch, but RPM control) therefore very easy for anybody with average skills with an X-acto knife and access to somebody with a lathe... But tail control is good to very good (provided curves and gain have been properly adjusted). Check the video's in post #4 of that thread for an impression of handling and control

Adjustment is a doddle for anyone that can set a ReVo-curve and can fly with Rate Gyro (you need a decent gyro, like a GY 401 though).

Happy to help anyone out who wants to build one too.

Been running FP tails on my 450 elevated tail bodies using a N-60 tali motor or 1230 brushless tail motor with (Gear driven) Fixed pitch blades.
All I can say is it works flawless and my flight times are 10 minutes plus and Im using a 2100 MAH 3s Batteries . Ive been using Esky rate Gyros.
Im making a Comanche Fuselage 450 size and I might try this substitute Fenestron also with the Comanche.
