BUDGET JR/Spektrum DSM/DSM2 budget receivers.

Does anyone know if Walkera and Esky 2.4Ghz receivers are compatible with Spektrum/JR radios.
Planning to build inexpensive EXI 450 platforms for experimental testbeds.
And I bought a new JR DSX7

The only compatiblity in 2.4 GHz is JR and Spekturm. But is because they are the same system.

Every other brand is proprietary.

Well also FlySky/Turnigy/Eurgle are all FlySky and compatible (but not with Spektrum!). At least they have been for a couple of months but with these budget brands there is no certainty that next month's batch will be from the same mfr or be backwards compatible.

Spektrum DSM2 technology is used in several brands of equipment including Spektrum, JR, EFlite (eg Blade mCx) and ParkZone (eg Vapour). The Tx and Rx from these ranges will interwork. However you won't find any cheap $15 Rx that work with DSM2 at least not yet.
