I have the perfect set up brand new e-flight six series 2700 kv, new servos, new cc phoenix 35, running on a 3 cell lipo, but after fifteen seconds in the air I loose all power and the goes down no control over anything, I touch the speed control and it almost burns me, im running a small prop 5.5 -4.5 any suggestions why my esc is getting so hot ive even tried other esc. its on a 36 inch ritewing lightening

have you run this on a watt meter? Your probably to close to the esc rating as well as the bec adding to the problem.

Mum is the word!
Hey budy Its most likley pulling around 40 amps thats why,is it vented.
The 3000 kv motors pull appx 43 to 46 amps at appx 26000 to 27000 rpms on the same prop on 3s dep on the battery.
Your pushing the esc pretty hard.

Ck

Check you setup with a wattmeter then I would disable the on board BEC and run a separate one. Its worth a shot. The BEC overheating will kill the unit.

Make sure your bay is vented
