i noticed that you put the information on how to make i2c pwm converter on your site, which if i decide to try making one, i then have to make pcb and buy electronic component to make a complete i2c pwm converter. however, i like to know if you can sell the complete i2c pwm converter to me and how much for 3 units?

so, you are using Tower pro n18A with your current version, which you modified the ESC without using i2c pwm converter, and you never tried this unmodified Tower pro n18A with the i2c. I can not order HK SS18-20A because of back order for over 20 pieces, therefore if you think that this Tower pro n18A should work as well, then i just going to use it and try it.

Correct. But I tested an unmodified TowerPro n18A on the ground with the converters and it seemed to work with 417Hz.

Hi William, 2 questions please?

- I bought these ESC's, I'm sure they will work with the 3 i2c boards you sent? Hobbyking SS Series 25-30A ESC
- I noticed last night when finishing the yaw servo part that there is a small amount (1mm) of play on the servo, will that make a difference?

By the way, I was informed this morning the parts you sent is at my post office, yippeeee!

Cheers

Hi Dion,
the ESCs should work. Play in the servo is not good, especially because 1mm is a huge play in my opinion. Doesn't the play decrease if you switch on the servo?

Oh no. The play is less when powered on but still there, seems like play in the actual gears of the servo? Do you think I should try it or rather find another one?

Play is never good. "play" will make the unit twitchy, unstable and unpredictable.

Servo's should never have any play, play indicates wear and the possibility of failure.

Managed to get it basically rock solid now. The play in the servo basically goes away when powered on. It seems like most of the play was in the 2 ball links I had so I replaced that with a straight Z bend push rod, lots better

Now my next question William:

I checked the Tri-Guide, IMU block and Rec-Enc last night and everything works 100%, Thanks!

- Will the first flight be done with all standard settings and go from there or do I load the Settings_William file?
- The yaw has got a lot of travel, I'm talking about 45 degrees in each direction and is very sensitive, is this normal or how do I decrease the throw?

Thanks!
Dion

my tricopter board working with dragon link receiver, I can see servo travel and gyro work on trigui

but , since I burn the original arduino I have, cause of ground bad contact on new white board, I reroute all te bord and add wire to make good contact betwhen dc/ dc regulator. to ground

I think you will make new board with 16/10 e epoxy material it could be stronger

Anyway,

I buy a new arduino , flash it and check it, all is working on the trigui eccept I have to put new parameter on the board.

When I select the "load file and load to the uc" it's impossible to open the window with the chose file option.

every time I have an error on the soft :

The frame was milled by rcgroups user 17b (thanks :-D !).
Here are the latest vids of my micro-tricopter:

second flight (indoor):
(1 min 26 sec)

second outdoor flight (flips and hands-free hover + onboard HD vid):

(3 min 40 sec)

The videos are pretty boring, but they show how the DLXm flies...

In order to have stable flights outdoors with aerobatics etc. I had to change some things in the tricopter firmware. Now my micro-tricopter flies even better than the large tricopter with the old firmware. I am curious how the large tricopter will behave with the new firmware. But testing will take a while since I only afforded one single IMU cube for both my tricopters. As soon as I did some tests, I will release a new firmware and a modified GUI. The new GUI will only work with the new firmware and vice-versa.

William, you are amazing!!!- If I had a gillion dollars I'd hire you to be my evil genius and we would take over the world together! Keep up the incredible multicopter work, I'm certain some day we will all be able to benefit from your work directly (at least those of us building and flying multicopters).
