Humph...maybe you should start a hokus pokus Mac thread. Why are they so small.? Well, anyway, they're all cool.

AG, the first one is nice. You're doing it a disservice with the editing. If you want to keep that miniature effect, use a little less blur.

The creek one isn't doing much for me. There's no defined subject, the background blends together. There's no "flow".

To give an example of flow, we'll go back to the first picture.

When you look at it, the trees in the foreground draw your eye from left to right down the "slope" to the lake, which then brings you to the left again, where you follow it to the right, where the large mountain is, and then back along the range in the background (were it not all blurred out). It has lots of little details, but there's a progression. You don't consciously see it, unless you know to look for it, but your subconscious mind sees it.

The creek one on the other hand... There's undefined water in the front, there's a wall of vegetation in the back, and dead center, is a rock, one that's got no distinctive form, no story. It's not a stepping stone, it causes no ripples, it's just there, smack dab in the middle, doing nothing.

At least, that's what I see.

well then MR. CRITIC So your saying less blur around the far side of the lake pic, and that the creek one sucks. Thanks Cole

The blur is too dramatic, yes.

The point of that feature is to cause the eye to think that the photo is that of a scale model, like a model train track scene.

The blur line is too defined, and the blur effect is over done, you should have some details in the back and foreground.

As far as the river one sucking, let me ask you this, what are you trying to show the viewer with that photograph?
