2 blade 11/4.7 on the 1000mm Corsair

However. As regards the 1400mm Corsair - please go to either of those 2 threads to see what you will need for them, there. BTW, that one swings a 14" diameter prop.

..........And you will need a whole lot more than a "small mAh 4 cell" for her, too
about my 20th flight on this new prop (2 blade 11/4.7 on the 1000mm Corsair) haven't blown up the engine yet will let you know if any problems occur, also running a 2200mah with 30c ,yea in know a bit large for the compartment but I like the fly time which is still only about 13 min then it is down to about 11.3 volts by end of flight. I still use the 1300mah for battery but I only get about 8 min out of it before it is down to 11.3 volts

I have read that I can push a battery down to 11.1 volts but where is engine cut off on this plane? hate to find out the hard way and go tree climbing

Nope.

Different protocol. The DX is not compatible with the Art Tech stuff.

Sorry. I wish it were, too. But if you want the DX to run the plane for you, visit HK and buy one of the (now) $5.99 Orange rx and run the pants off of her! That WILL work with all the servos in the plane, no sweat!

as the kids say "Sa-WEET" .. tell me more about the bird itself.. I'm looking to make a giant leap from my HZ Champ to a warbird.

Fabulous!!

You will LOVE this airframe! It is stable and completely predictable - and flies very, very scale-like without any bad habits. Others have found ways to make it plenty fast; motors, props, etc, but with stock parts it flies just wonderful.

There is another thread dedicated to the plane - I'll find it and post a link for you here.

Coming from the Champ might make you a hair nervous - but there is no need for that. This plane just loves to fly, and if you have the Champ in hand, this one will make you proud!

OK - here's the link. Read thru all this, if you can! https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=767759

HK ARF version ...

The ARF version of this bird - sold by Hobbyking - same airframe? I know there are a lot of different opinions about Hobbyking; would YOU purchase one from them?

Same same.

HK's is the same bird. Check out the other thread for a bit more. Have no fears about HK.... they're slow but they're OK.

You have to remove the steel weight in there, it's in the way...
A 2200 fits if you smash it in with a little force...The door even closes...

Hello

Ok maybe fit is not a good word for what I have done here lol

You can see all the cutting away I had to do to make room and also remove the weight

I believe this battery will fit much better I just had the 2200 battery you see laying around

Sorry for no responding, was in my exam period =(

Anyways, i would love to use the Rhinos (if only are in Australia)
I was thinking of cutting a battery hatch on the top of the plane, just in front of the canopy. That way I can use any size batteries and balance the plane easily.

What do you guys think??

Yes, it is.

Meet FrankenPlane - much abused, still kicking. These kinda have a glass jaw (i.e., break easy with impacts) but repair and return to flying just as new. The hatch was a copy of some other versions/makes of this model, but it works great - makes getting a 2200 in, no problemo.

Exams went well, I hope?
