Its all finished and ready for a maiden flight as soon as the weather permits and i get brave enough to launch it. The ground is too rough here for an ROG so i will have to hand launch it. Anyway here is the picture for you.

Should be interesting.

HEY OD!!!!
That is so kool looking! I like the wheels. I'll post the pictures in the picture gallery at the front of this thread.

I have read somewhere on RCG that if you had a field with tall soft grasses you can do a couple of hand launch glides to see if the CG was correct/close. I assume the tall soft grass would allow for a soft landing without any damage. If it glides good then if something goes wrong you would throttle back and glide to a landing. It really would be bad for damage to happen to such a beautiful plane. You did a great job on your build. Best of luck on your maiden and may you have many happy hours flying your Aerobile.

Great! I look forward to seeing them.
No, sorry, Just keep it light as possible. I did add way to much weight with the landing gear/undercarriage I designed for mine. I would suggest something much more simple. Like my Parkzone T28 has or something similar.

If it does turn out on the heavy side I plan to use my 50g 1650kv motor with a 1500mah 3s LiPo and am hoping for SPEED . I have enough power but would it go considerably faster? Do you have a baseline for the speed of this thing?
Thanks for all of the help so far!
Jim

We clocked it with a hand held radar gun at 59-60 mph. However, this was in a dive at full throttle. I have no idea at level flight.

I have managed to acquire some aluminium and have roughly cut it to shape. How exactly did you fit the wheels to the legs?
Thanks
Jim

I used 2-56 X 3/4" Socket Head Screw with two 2-56 Nylon Insert Lock Nuts. Drill a small hole for the screw to go through and lock it in place with a lock nut then put the wheel on the screw and then add the next lock nut. Don't over tighten.

If you buy/order from GreatPlanes the stock numbers are....

GPMQ3004
GPMQ3340
