When my wife and or kids turn off the SAT but leave the TV on, I know they left it on as soon as I enter the house BUT yet my wife and kids and every body else I know can't.

BUT at the same time when my wife talks to me, I can't hear a thing.

MY cheaper stock chargers make some noise also and I have learn to live with it.
You are just going to need to wait for someone that has the same module to post and let you know if his or hers does the same. In the mean time if you're range check are good, then don't worry about it.

Maybee someone with a flysky module could hear if the sound should be there please.

There should be *no* sound from the FlySky module itself.

The sound you describe would more likely come from a switching regulator -- but the FlySky 9X radio doesn't use switching regulators.

Listen carefully and see if you can hear exactly where it's coming from. Could it be the small transducer the 9X uses to make its beeps? Perhaps there's some logic pulse leaking through to that transducer.

Well, I dont have the 9X radio,,,, I have hacked a FlySKy 2,4ghz module in to a Graupner MX-12 radio.

Ah, I wonder if the MX-12 uses a switching regulator and if (for some reason) it's now "singing" (perhaps due to excessive current draw)?

I take it that (in your picture) the red wire is 9.6V and not 6V?

Jepp, the red wire is batteryvoltage(8 nimh=9.6V), and the orange is ppm..'

Ive just connected a HobbyKing module( just got that one today) and this one 2 makes a sound and the red little diod is red.

So it cant be 2 flysky modules that are bad..
My PPM signal in is about 2.8 volt.

Wait, I will listen where ths sound comes from, but Im sure its from the module..

EDIT: yes the sound comes from module..

It appears the sound should be there,,, I just for the first time did bind all my 6ch hobbyking receivers, they all did bind within 1 second..

Now for the fun part, range check and flying..

so sweet..

My old Futaba FC 18 also hums very slightly, and it has no switching regs.

I also remember several DX7 users reporting sounds.

I guess it has something to do with a 50Hz PPM framerate inside.

Julez, did leave the radio and 1 receiver + 1 servo on fr 45 minutes,,,, absolutely still.

I thrust this..

Did even fly 3 times with this system in an Alfa p-47, so high an far away i could, no problem....

The resolution is really great, and dual antennas also,,,, im happy..
